So, here’s the thing.

I went MIA because life got… complicated.

But I can offer you another batch of fireworks photos to make up for my three-year absence. We took a trip out East and managed to party with some awesome fireworks in Delaware, right on the river. It was SUCH a good day.

That’s it. That’s all I’ve got. Deal wit it. In the meantime, feel free to click through the gallery!

Fireworks!

You know it’s THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR when I get to go out and shoot fireworks photos! I mean, besides that the weather is hot and humid and I’m typically miserable while it’s all happening… but… FIREWORKS! Normally, I’d choose just a few to share – but because FIREWORKS(!!!!) I’m just going to post them all. High-res here, per the usual.

Independence Day KA-BOOM

Because ‘MURICA! Anyone who knows me understands that I am not super excited about the current state of our country or our leadership – but let’s be honest. If there is fire and explosions and bright colors, I’m all about it. On July 3rd, Dayton puts on a pretty awesome show down at Riverscape. And – this year – it wasn’t raining! So here’s what I got and I’m gonna blow you up (har har) with all of the shots rather than just a few.

Hope you enjoy these as much as I did!

Thanksgiving 2016

I love my family. Deeply, wholly, and forever. So when my brother and SIL initiated a conversation about using Thanksgiving as an opportunity to get out of town for a weekend, everyone included, we jumped at the chance. We all bundled into our cars and met up at Murphin Ridge Inn in West Union, OH. We spent time together, drank and ate all our meals together, and let the kids run wild in the countryside getaway. It was awesome and perfect.  These are my people and I love them greatly. These are some of my best shots, but you can see every one here.

Dayton Airshow, Supermoon 2013, and Fireworks

The airshow this year was gorgeous, but SO HOT. Emma got to watch the planes, play in a bouncy house, and meet a police puppy.

The supermoon was amazing. I am fascinated by stars and the moon, but since I live in a city it’s hard to catch things most of the time because of the ambient light.

The fireworks – well. I’m sure they would have been even more incredible had we not had a downpour that ruined most of my chances to get any shots, so I worked with what I had. I got a few shots I really liked.

Per the usual, all of the shots are here – but my favorites are below.

Miscellaneous Fun

Once again, I’m playing catch-up. This post won’t be anything spectacular, because of the three catch-ups I’m doing, this is the least impressive.  LOL, sorry, but honesty is usually best.

Emma tried fingerpainting for the first time. She wasn’t a fan after the first 2 minutes or so.  Also, we finally had an adult date a couple weekends ago. We went to the Melting Pot and enjoyed some awesome fondue and adult beverages. Here are a few, but the rest are on my SmugMug page.

February 20th/Week 7

Hard to believe it’s week 7 already – but there you are.  Time flies, and all that jazz.

This week, I got some cool tulips where you can see how the roots are growing, did some baking (strawberry lemon muffins), and we took Emma to Riverscape for the first time to watch the ice skaters and walk along the river.  There are quite a few shots, so I won’t post them all.  But if you’re interested, the rest are here.
